NEW YORK, NY February, 3, 2017 – Twisted Sister front man and legendary Rock icon, Dee Snider celebrates 20 years and 1,000 shows with his national radio show, The House of Hair, syndicated through Sun Broadcast Group.  Snider’s special 1,000th episode will air this Saturday, February 11thth. To celebrate, The House of Hair with Dee Snider is giving one lucky winner a Gibson guitar, complete with amp and accessories. Listeners must tune-in and Shazam to enter.

Since 1997, Snider has taken listeners, across nearly 200 stations, on a 3-hour ride into ‘headbangin’ heaven’ with the greatest 80’s hair band music from AC/DC to Zebra, and Metallica to Poison.

Dee Snider host of the House of Hair said, “When I started doing this show in 1997, Grunge still had a death-grip on the airwaves and “heavy metal” was a dirty word.  I wondered if anybody would be interested in listening to a bunch of “old hair bands.”  1000 shows later, and in our 20th year, I guess I didn’t need to wonder.  “Hair metal,” as it’s so dismissively called, is not only the soundtrack of a generation, but the go to music of whole new generations.  It seems that the House of Hair and the bands and songs it represents brings back one very important, but sadly missing element to the music scene…F-U-N!  If it ain’t metal…IT’S CRAP!”

“We are thrilled to celebrate Dee’s 1,000th show. The House of Hair with Dee Snider will rule for another thousand shows!” said Ron Rivlin, SVP Programming and Affiliate Relations, Sun Broadcast Group.
